The Misguided Tech

After a long day of working and solving issues for our remote offices, I was poised to head off to school. While at school the class discussion was on leadership in IT. For all these years of college and student preparing for the world, they lack the most important skill (Adapting). This is not to be taken lightly. We are put in a position to make the best of what we have. Constantly forced to prove we can make a difference or be replaced by the next generation of techs taiting to challenge you for your job. ” Mommy told you to get a job in IT” it will make you money. Yes, but you need to love it and not like it or IT/it will consume you; destroying you not allowing you to see what you true potential is. We are no longer a bad line item to a company. We are no longer a department that don’t generate money. We are the driving force of what make every company successful.

We are IT. Not what people label us as, but what has become the driving force of business.

Food for thought:

Turn us off and see if the business still run.
